20th ANNIVERSARY BOXCAR SALES

Sales of the 20th Anniversary Boxcars will continue in 2007 with the projected delivery date of late July/early August. These cars are “top of the line” Lionel PS-1 Boxcars with interior loads. They come in two numbers, #27007 and #27087, which are prototype numbers for the cars which were received by the Southern Railway in 1955. Only 200 cars of each number are being made. For operators, these cars can be operated with either steam or diesel power of the era and later.

WHY SHOULD MEMBERS BUY THESE ANNIVERSARY CARS?

• 2012 TCA CONVENTION WILL BE IN ATLANTA HOSTED BY THE DIXIE DIVISION. THIS WILL BE A LARGE NATIONAL EVENT FOR LOCAL MEMBERS AT A “LOW OVERHEAD RATE”.
• THE DIVISION IS REQUIRED TO UNDERWRITE THE CONVENTION WELCOME PARTY AND CAR PROCEEDS WILL HELP DEFRAY COSTS.
• NO DIVISION MEMBER DUES HAS BEEN CHARGED FOR THE 19 YEARS THE DIXIE DIVISION HAS OPERATED.
• THE DIXIE FLYER PERIODICAL IS MAILED TO ALL MEMBERS.
• THE DIVISION PROVIDES DOOR PRIZES TO EACH CHAPTER ONCE YEARLY.
• THE DIVISION SPONSORS ONE TRAIN SHOW ANNUALLY WITHIN THE DIVISION BOUNDARY.
• A DIVISION WEB SITE IS SUPPORTED FOR ALL CHAPTERS.
